Preparation of Support
|
Minimal
slope of the roof partsµ
Replace
damage roof parts
The
support must be dry, sound and free from moss, leafs, mud, … Remove with a
brush then treat the support with ANTIMOUSSE
Get
rid of blisters and bubbles from bituminous materials
Treat
joints and cracks:
-
Joints: open and wash. Fill in with a
permanty souple filling compound.
-
Cracks: reinforce them with Synthetic Fabric
(20 cm wide) as follows
1. Apply ROOFCOAT on each edge; spreading rate: min. 1 kg/m²
2. Set the reinforcing cloth in the wet ROOFCOAT
3. Fix with a spatula or a dry roller
4. Let to dry
5. Apply supplementary coat of ROOFCOAT ; spreading rate: min. 1,5 kg/m²
(Badly
cracked roofs are treated with a full Sythetic Fabric of 115 cm wide)
|
|
Cleaning of Material
|
In case of prolonged interruption, wash as
follow:
-
wet product: soapy hot water
-
dry product: acetone, xylene.
|
|
Coverage
|
Apply ROOFCOAT according to the following minimum
spreading rate:
-
repairing (maintenance): 2 Kg/m² or 1.5 L/m²
(min. 2 coats with 0.750 L/m²)
-
New works: 3 Kg/m² or 2.2 L/m² (min. 3 coats
with 0.750 L/m²)
|
|
Drying
|
At 20°C and 60% OF R.H. for a 1 Kg/m² rate:
-
rainfree: 4 hours
-
dry:
24 hours min.
|
|
Recoatable
|
Apply a second coat ROOFCOAT only after
drying of the previous coat.

REMARKS
|
|
|
|
|
Take into account the roughness of the
support when determine consumption rate, carefully respect minimum spreading
rate. For this purpose, delimit the
surface on which a complete package must absolutely be applied
Temperature and atmospheric humidity can be
strong influence on the drying time.
